Weekend Celebrations
Sunday 9:30am: This service includes worship, a mesage and communion every week. It is a little shorter (about 70 minutes) to accommodate busy schedules. The celebration incorporates some worship elements that express the worship tradition of the historical church. For example, before the service begins, there is a multi-media presentation of the fourth century Nicene Creed put to music. The best kept secret of the 9:30 celebration: a dynamite children’s ministry program (as at all three celebrations). More attention is given to the individual needs of each child, since the number of children attending is smaller than the 11:00 celebration.
Sunday 11:00am: Often our largest celebration with lots of newcomers, youth, and children. The basics: contemporary worship with a little higher energy, message, and time for either prayer ministry and/or communion to close (communion about once per month.) Before and after the celebration, the lobby area is usually abuzz with people coming and going, or just hanging out to connect with others over a cup of Starbucks.
