Concert at The Ark; 7:30pm

Blueshouse Three Thirteen are back again this year with friends: Sound of Reign, celebrating Rev. Martin Luther King Jr’s enduring legacy. Last year’s event was filmed as a ‘live in concert DVD’, and reviewed in Big City Rhythm and Blues Magazine as ‘a document in modern blues, an historical glimpse of a band that even this early, stands on the verge of ‘really getting’ it on.’ Brooks (guitar) understands the blues wire and when to slip and slide on either side of it, without ever falling off’ (Thom Jurek, Senior Staff Writer: allmusic.com). Sound of Reign will be combining skilled musicianship and their passion for worship infused grooves, resulting in a positive adult alternative sound. This year’s event will also be filmed for release. Sponsored (very appropriately, given the day) by Jesus, Race & You Ministries, Inc. Tickets: $15.
