Racial Reconciliation

Vineyard Church of Ann Arbor has been involved in an intentional friendship with the Bible Church of Ypsilaniti, a church in the historic-African American tradition for several years.  We've had joint worship services, an annual church picnic and other opportunities to build relationship.  Both our congregations have found this immensely enriching over the years.

We also support the work of Jesus, Race, and You, an ecumenical organizations aimed at encouraging the dream of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to see the church become "a beloved community" of racial reconciliation.  This past year we hosted the first, Jesus, Race and You celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. day, with over 80 people from area churches participating in small group dialogue over issues of race in America.
